Salon 105, as mentioned in my previous post, closed last night. The closing party, held at UNION 105 in Chapeltown was a friendly, intimate affair – and I had a great time chatting with my new friends at East Street Arts and taking one last look at the works on display.
I also got a chance to see round the whole building – and it seems to be a great space; just the sort of creative hub the local area needs! I’m sure there will be more about ‘ESA’ in the future as I’ve been convinced to upgrade to become an Artisan member.
But – the BIG NEWS – is that one of my pieces for the 4am Project has been selected as a winner. It would be great if you could all pop over to the website and vote for the image you like the best (I would suggest ’18’!).
I thought this year’s 4am Project was brilliant and only hope it goes on to bigger and better things in 2011 – I certainly plan to be involved!
I, unfortunately, didn’t win – but I was 4th at one stage! Thanks to all who voted for me as I won a prize 🙂
Two pieces from ‘The Tent’ are on display. In other news, this project is getting closer to going into publication – with the first draft of text being reviewed and work starting on the design…
If you’re interested in seeing the work at Salon 105 it runs 19th March to 16th April in the gallery at 105 Chapeltown Road, Leeds LS7 3HY. A special opening evening for the gallery and exhibition runs 6-9pm on Thursday 18th. All welcome.
